When staying indoors is also as hot as staying outdoors

By Stacy Mellete

Temperature in Central Florida can reach up to near 90s. The amount of humidity present in the air contributes to the discomfort brought by the scorching heat. This forecast is according to a report shared by Orlando Sentinel.

There’s a slight chance of afternoon showers in today’s Central Florida forecast. The National Weather Service in Melbourne is calling for mostly sunny skies and a 20 percent chance of storms this afternoon. The high will be near 89 degrees. Tonight, a few clouds will roll into the area as temperatures fall near 71 degrees. Winds could get up to 15 mph, but will slow after midnight.

Wednesday: Cloudy skies and a high near 91 degrees with a 40 percent chance of afternoon storms.

Thursday: Partly sunny and a high near 91 degrees with a 50 percent chance of evening storms.

This kind of weather can cause heat stroke. That is why it is advisable to drink lots of fluids to keep the body hydrated, and to stay indoors as much as possible. Your home is your best escape from heat.

However, a problem with this may occur if your home is not built to keep you cool from hot days because of poor insulation. You should check your house’s features and after your inspection, you might find that the culprit might be your Tampa roofing contractor.
